Bed time story -1

Image
The Night of the Oldest Friends On a quiet night, when the moon spread silver light across the earth, a little boy named Arjun lay on his bed, unable to sleep. He looked out of his window and whispered, “Why does time move so slowly when I want to sleep… and so fast when I play?” Just then, a soft breeze entered his room. It carried a gentle voice— “Come, Arjun… let me show you something.” Before he knew it, Arjun found himself walking in a magical forest, glowing under starlight. Everything was calm… peaceful… and very, very old. The Wise Tortoise First, he met a giant tortoise resting beside a quiet pond. “Hello,” said the tortoise slowly, with a smile. “I have seen more than 200 years of sunrises and sunsets.” Arjun’s eyes widened. “Don’t you get bored?” The tortoise chuckled softly. “No, little one… I enjoy each moment slowly. Life is not a race. It is a journey.” Arjun felt his breathing become slower… calmer. The Ancient Tree As he walked further, he saw a tall tree touchin...

*Little Bird Discovers a Leaf-Animal Secret*

One bright morning, a little bird was flying along the seashore. Flap… flap…  The waves were shining. The sun was smiling. Suddenly, the bird stopped. “Hey!” it chirped. “What is that green leaf floating in the water?” The bird flew closer. “Oh my!”  “The leaf is moving!” *A Very Strange Leaf* The little bird landed on a rock and asked kindly, “Hello, green leaf! Are you really a leaf?” The green shape smiled softly and replied, “No, little bird. I am not a leaf.” The bird blinked its eyes. “Not a leaf? Then…?” *A Gentle Sea Friend* The green creature answered gently, “I am a sea slug. I am an animal.”  The bird opened its beak wide. “An animal? But you are green like a leaf!”  The sea slug laughed kindly  . “Yes, I look like a leaf, but I can move and feel like an animal.” *A Curious Question* The bird thought for a moment and asked, “Plants use sunlight to make food. Do you do that too?” The sea slug nodded slowly. “Not exactly,” it said. “When I was young, I ...

The secrets of Crocadile’s Tail

Far away, in a green forest, there flowed a wide and quiet river. Many animals lived near the river and drank its cool water every day.      In the river lives a crocodile. He has sharp teeth and a long tail. One little frog was very curious. Instead of feeling afraid, it wanted to learn more. So the frog hopped closer. The frog asked politely: “Uncle Crocodile, why do you have such a big tail?” The crocodile smiled. “My tail is not just for fighting,” said the crocodile. “When I swim fast in water, it is my tail that pushes me forward. It helps me turn quickly and catch my food.” “If an enemy comes close,” the crocodile continued, “I hit the water with my tail. The sound and power are enough to scare them away.” The frog opened its eyes wide.   The frog asked again: “What if you don’t get food?” The crocodile replied, “My tail stores fat inside it. That fat gives me energy when food is hard to find.”     The frog smiled and said, ...

Flying mouse Raju -2 magical stick

Chapter 1: Raju Returns: Raju, the “Flying Mouse,” had once again reached London. But this time, he did not flap his magical wings all the way from India like before. Instead, he came happily by flight. That’s a wonder in itself — but that story is for another time! At the airport, in front of the big board that said “Welcome to London,” Raju stood waiting for his friends. Raju was no longer the same young mouse. Old age had touched him. He now carried a walking stick, wore round spectacles, and his fur had patches of white. Yet, his eyes sparkled with hope as he looked around for his little friends — Viraj, Vihaan, and Advait. Viraj was 8 years old, with a chubby face and a gap where his front tooth had fallen. His curiosity never stopped. His younger brother Vihaan was just 5, round-faced and full of funny antics that made everyone laugh. Advait, who was 6, was called “Chotu.” He had sharp eyes and thought like a little detective. Just then… the three boys spotted Raju from a...

Story part 10 (last)

Image
It had been many days since Raju left India. One day, he felt homesick. That night, he stood on a tall tower, looking out at the city, and said goodbye to his friends. As he spread his arms, he felt a strange sensation, and to his amazement, he grew wings and took flight. As he began to fly, his ears grew bigger. Wings sprouted from his body. And with that, Raju, the little mouse, soared through the sky, heading towards his homeland, India. ******* Grandpa stopped telling the story. His grandson was dozing off. As he was about to fall asleep, he asked, "Grandpa , was that mouse you? Was that story about you?" "Maybe, my dear grandson," replied the grandpa . ******** The grandfather felt relieved and lighter. His mind was telling him to run, to see new places, to visit England and play with his grandchildren. He felt like he had grown wings, and his dreams were filled with flying through the sky. He had similar dreams when he was young, and now, in his old age, he ...

Story part 9

"Have you heard of Needles?" Viraj asked. "They're three rocks in the middle of the sea that tourists flock to see. Want to go?" Raju eagerly agreed. At the location, Raju took a chairlift (rope way) and was thrilled by the experience. As he soared above the trees, he felt exhilarated, thinking it was great fun. Chintu's grandfather boasts about his English skills and poses like Shakespeare and World Worth. One day, Raju read that World Worth described daffodil flowers as beautiful. He learned that these flowers are common in England. Viraj told Raju, "Hey, there are daffodil flowers in the park nearby. Let's go!" Raju was thrilled. As he saw the daffodils, Raju felt like William Wordsworth and recited, "I wandered lonely as a cloud..." with great enthusiasm. Raju's excitement didn't stop there. After visiting Shakespeare's birthplace, he felt like a renowned writer himself. He spent some time browsing through heavy book...

Story part 8

Another rhyme came to Raju's mind: "London Bridge, London Bridge, Falling Down." He saw the actual London Bridge, but it wasn't falling down. Instead, it was intact. Whenever ships passed underneath, the bridge would lift up. Raju felt amazed by this wonder. Raju said he was hungry. Viraj took him to an orchard and bought some fruits. He put them in a basket and handed it to Raju. Viraj explained that they shouldn't eat the fruits directly from the trees. Instead, they should pick them neatly, put them in a basket, and give them to the orchard owner. The owner would then weigh the fruits and ask them to pay for them. Only after paying should they eat the fruits. Raju didn't know these rules, but Viraj explained them to him, and Raju listened carefully.   Raju was thrilled to have found a good friend. For a while, they strolled through a strawberry orchard. Raju hid behind leaves and played hide-and-seek with his friends. As he was hiding behind the leaves, V...
